The biggest barrier to obtaining the quetzal pet, Quetzin, in OSRS is joining the Hunter Guild. You must join the guild in order to complete Hunters' Rumours, the rewards for which are Hunters' Loot Sacks. These come in different tiers depending on your level, with Quetzin being a potential random unique drop from Tier 2 and 3 sacks.
