Where to Get the Rusty Key and Unlock the Sewers, Stardew Valley
The Rusty Sewer Key is in the hands of Gunther, the museum manager of Pelican Town. You can find Gunther in the museum from 8:00 to 18:00. To get the key from him, you must donate 60 items and wait until the next morning. The next morning he will come to thank you and give you the Rusty Key.
Your character learns about this key by listening to the conversation between Jas and Vincent in the Cindersap Forest.
Now that you have the key, head back to the south of Pelican Town to find the sewers. When you get close to it, you will get a message saying "You unlock the sewer hatch with the Rusty Key". You will unlock several things by entering this area, such as the Statue of Uncertainty, which allows you to change your profession for 10,000 gold. You will also find Krobus and Mutant Bug Lair here.
