Building and crafting are huge parts of Once Human, meaning you’ll need to gather a variety of resources for these projects. Ultimately, aluminum ore will be a resource you’ll need to gather in large quantities to create advanced equipment as you level up.
How to get aluminum ore as a human
Finding aluminum ore can take some time and you may not be sure where to find it regularly. With Once Human, it’s all about progression and making sure your character is at the right level to find these items. Aluminum is just like the other ores you find in the game and it spawns regularly after you reach a certain point.
Aluminum Ore spawns when you reach Chalk Peak, a level 32 area. I was able to unlock this region when I reached level 24 and completed the boss encounter at the Mirage Monolith. You’ll need to go through the In The Tall Grass story quest, recommended for those level 32 and above in Once Human. While I’m well below this requirement, I’m able to complete these challenges without too much trouble thanks to the gear and items I have in-game.
You’ll also want to make sure you have a Steel Pickaxe as a tool for mining Aluminum Ore patches. The Steel Pickaxe is the minimum level tool needed to start harvesting these materials, which spawn regularly in the Chalk Peak region. Once you progress further and start exploring other locations, you can expect Aluminum to advance, but it won’t be in the lower regions. You’ll want to focus on exploring these higher regions to gather enough Aluminum for crafting projects. You can also expect to find Iron and Tin mining patches, which spawn in the Chalk Peak area and other more advanced regions.
