Surprisingly, it seems that you can get the emoji reaction bar on messages on your Android device if you have the right tools and the right features enabled. But more importantly, you have luck on your side.
How to Use Emoji Reactions in Messages on Android Devices | New Feature
It appears that Google has been testing emoji reactions, like those found in iMessage, in its Messages app under RCS (Rich Communication Service) features. While multiple reports indicated that Google would be rolling out the feature, there's no indication of when.
Well, sort of. There have been multiple reports on Reddit where a few users have gotten the feature on their phones. They confirmed that they were seeing “reactions” to their RCS conversations by sharing screenshots.
Users confirmed that they could react to a post, including emojis such as thumbs up, heart eyes, laughing, shocked, sad, angry and thumbs down. A long press is all it takes to activate the Emoji reaction bar, which offers a choice of seven emojis.
