Earth Crystal in Stardew Valley is one of the minerals required for quests, recipes, and bundles. It’s easy to collect this item even in your first in-game year. Mining is without a doubt the best way to collect Earth Crystals in the valley. You can find them occasionally on the ground between floors 1 to 39 of The Mine. The Mine is located in the northern part of the Pelican Town map. It is located to the left of the Adventurers Guild. It will remain closed with the rubble until the 5th in-game day. On that day, you will receive a letter that will allow you to enter the location.

Besides picking them off the ground and mining them, you can get them by killing two types of monsters in The Mine. The first is Duggies, which appears between the 1st and 29th floors. It looks like a dirt ball, so you should recognize it easily.

Duggies sometimes drop Geodes, mineral deposits that have a chance to drop this item. Break them with the Geode Crusher from the Blacksmith shop for 25g each. Like Geodes, Earth Crystals can be obtained by crushing Omni Geodes, which are also found by destroying rocks in The Mine.
