Getting garage upgrades is essential, not only to keep progressing, but also to open up new possibilities. The FAX Machine is an upgrade that is especially useful for digging up hidden knowledge as you play, and is used to store the Transmissions and records you find during your Drives.
The FAX Machine is not directly available in the garage. First, you need to unlock it via the Fabrication Station. It is available under the Garage tab and just below the Detailing Station. However, in order to unlock it, you need to meet the following requirements:
The FAX Machine is a garage upgrade, meaning that unlike some blueprints, you can only pick it up and install it in the appropriate spot in the garage instead of learning the recipe. It is installed around the corner from the Fabrication Room, next to your locker.
