The Lightning Rod is an upgrade for your car that helps you convert electrical energy from impacts into a direct charge for your battery. You can unlock the Lightning Rod through your Fabrication Station, listed under the Battery category. Here's what you'll need to unlock the blueprint:

Before you can install it on your car, however, you will need to have a Side Rack made and installed on the back of your vehicle. You can then approach each of the racks and install the Lightning Rod on top of it.
