Fallout 4’s next-gen update may have arrived with a substantial amount of free Creation Club content, but it doesn’t cover everything. The Manwell Rifle Creation is one of the premium rifles, adding a pair of powerful guns that remain viable into the endgame… albeit with a few hurdles to jump through.
The Manwell Rifle Set and the Quantum Stag – Creation Club for Fallout 4
If you’ve already rolled the credits, actually getting your hands on the paired weapons will take perception, patience, and a whole lot of Nuka-Cola Quantum. Interestingly, this is one of the few Creation Club mini-quests to offer a choice at the end, though the consequences aren’t particularly significant or far-reaching.
Once Creation has been downloaded from Fallout 4's in-game store, The Quantum Stag quest will begin the next time you load the game. You'll be tasked with trudging to Outpost Zimonja, a small settlement in the northern Commonwealth that's pretty out of the way for most players. From there, follow the quest marker west to discover a note inside a ruined house. Since Creation Club quests for some reason don't have spoken dialogue, this note is the only explanation you'll get as to what's going on.
Apparently, a hunter and his son have been hunting a mythical creature known as the Quantum Stag, a common radstag that has been mutated by exposure to Nuka-Cola Quantum, much like the Nukalurks from the Nuka-World DLC. As is so often the case, they have failed, and it is up to you to retrace their steps and slay the beast.
