There are multiple resources you’ll need to track down as you survive in 7 Days to Die. Not only do you have to worry about the army of zombies hunting you, but you also have to take care of your basic needs, and Murky Water is a great way to do this.
Getting water is EASY in Alpha 21 (7 Days To Die)
Murky Water is a resource you’ll need while exploring towns to avoid zombies and find supplies. While it’s a small resource, you’ll want to keep it on hand at all times, and knowing where to get it can be tricky. There are a few ways to do this in 7 Days to Die, and some methods are easier than others.
You can find Murky Water by looting it in the wilderness or by trading it with NPCs that are willing to trade you in 7 Days to Die. You should look for it in old houses, trash piles, or lootable locations. Finding it in the wilderness is probably the best and cheapest option. Some of the best locations I've found Murky Water are sinks, water coolers, vending machines, or trash piles.
Murky Water is a last resort that you can use to increase your character's stamina and hydration. The problem in 7 Days to Die is that it can give your character dysentery, which has a negative status effect on them. If this happens, you can get rid of the dysentery by waiting 60 minutes, drinking Goldenrod Tea or Pure Mineral Water, or using vitamins to reduce the chance of contracting the disease when drinking Murky Water. While you don't want to drink it, Murky Water has other uses in 7 Days to Die.
