The quickest and easiest way to get this is to chop down the mahogany tree, large stump, and large log. Mahogany trees are planted with mahogany seeds and can be chopped down with a simple axe. You will find some seeds when chopping down the large stump and large log. Since you get seeds from the fully grown tree, you can shake it for them every now and then after growing your first mahogany tree. Collect some seeds and set aside trees for hardwood and seed production.
Large Stumps can be found on the farm, in the secret forests, and in the mines. You need to use the copper axe to chop them down. Six large stumps spawn daily in the secret forests. Chopping them down will give you 12 hardwood. Finally, large tree trunks can be found on the farm, in the mines, and one blocking the secret forests. You use the steel axe to get the hardwood out of them.
