Games that require you to gather resources usually have iron as one of the first metals harvested, but that’s not the case in Once Human. You can expect to gather iron ore later in the game, and because you find it later, it’s hard to track down.
Where to find IRON ORE in Once Human | EARLY
Iron is a mid-game resource in Once Human, but when you do come across it, you can't harvest it unless you have the right tools. Since this is a tough material to come across, we'll look at when you're more likely to find Iron Ore and how to mine it.
Iron Ore becomes much more prominent once you enter the Iron River area, which can be found north of the Dayton Wetlands. The Iron River is a bit of a problem in itself, as it’s an area you can expect to encounter from level 20-30. Many of the enemies in this region fall within that level range, but if you’re a lower level, you don’t need to worry too much about it. Higher level enemies are an excellent source of experience points, and they’re not too difficult to defeat if you have the right gear.
If you want to enter the Iron River zone a little earlier than level 28, we recommend continuing until you have the bike unlocked and weapons ready, so you can quickly leave the area if necessary. Having a weapon also allows you to shoot enemies as you escape.
