On the Roku platform, you can find channels in places like the Roku store and the Home menu. Despite the name, channels function like apps; you can pick the ones you want and add them to your Home screen. Once you add these channels, you can access video content from a provider.

First, visit your local broadcaster's website and see if they have created a Roku channel for their viewers.

This may be a "private" channel that requires you to enter a code available on their website, or it may be visible for searching on your Roku. Make sure you search using your station's call letters, such as WGBH or WHYY, rather than searching for "Channel 5" or "Live on 5."
