The MSQ can wait: there's a new expansion and a whole new crafting logbook. As ever, the non-collectible monster drops are the biggest bottleneck when it comes to crafting supplies, and Silver Lobo Hide is the first horde in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail.

Silver Lobo Hide is the key component in crafting Silver Lobo Leather, the main leatherworker-made ingredient in all level 90 craftable starter gear in FFXIV: Dawntrail. At a four-to-one ratio, you'll need quite a few hides to get a decent supply of leather. The main way to farm hides is by farming Silver Lobos, which can be found in Urqopacha.
You'll find them on the high ridge just south of the main Aetheryte at Wachunpelo. You'll need to climb the path via the southeastern exit if you haven't unlocked flying yet.
As is always the case with RNG-based monster drops, farming Silver Lobos the conventional way will give extremely diminishing returns if you need an actual supply of leather rather than a handful of pieces. The more reliable way is to farm FATEs; Silver Lobo Hides are available directly from the Urqopacha Bicolor Gemstone vendor Tepli.
