Steel in Once Human is one of the resources you’ll often need for your crafting tasks. However, you won’t find Steel directly – you’ll need to craft Steel Ingots which can be used in crafting recipes for weapons with improved damage, ammo, buildings, and various equipment. Since these are crucial to your survival, here are the locations where you can find the necessary materials.
Once Human How to Make a Steel Bar
To craft steel, you must first unlock the required memetics under Infrastructure, mine ore using a specific tool, and finally craft steel bars in the furnace.
You will need the memetic Forging Techniques (found under Infrastructure under Bronze Pickaxes) to unlock the Steel Ingot recipe. This recipe consists of x5 Iron Ore.
Iron ore can be found in several locations, but the Iron River area is particularly rich in this material. Be careful, because this region is also populated with stronger enemies.
