There are multiple minions and cosmetics to unlock in Final Fantasy XIV. How you obtain them varies as the rewards become available through different pieces of content. For those seeking the Bluecoat Cat, a special resource is required.

The Bluecoat Cat minion will be unlocked with the Dawntrail expansion in Final Fantasy XIV. When it becomes available for the 7.0 update, you'll need to explore the game to find it. We should be able to make this easier for you as you play, especially for anyone who wants to take the Bluecoat Cat minion with them through the main Dawntrail story missions.
You can earn the Bluecoat Cat minion by talking to Ryubool Ja, the Dawn Hunt Vendor in Tuliyollal. They will become an available vendor after you unlock the Hunts in Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail. You can only do this after completing the Main Scenario Quests and finishing the Rite of Succession. After doing so, the quest A New Dawn, a New Hunt will unlock in Tuliyollal and you will be able to access the Hunts for Dawntrail.
From here, after completing this quest, the next step is to earn at least 800 Sacks of Nuts by completing these hunts. Sacks of Nuts are the reward you receive for completing these tasks, and then you can take them to Ryubool Ja to trade them for the Bluecoat Cat minion. Hopefully for players, you won't encounter any graphical glitches while exploring the town, or any error codes.
