Animal Well’s hostile dogs prove to be quite frustrating for many players, but that’s where the Disc item comes in. The Disc is just the thing to distract those fast and insatiable dogs and get past them safely.

Getting the Disc is easier said than done, though. While it’s fairly easy to find, and can be done within the first few minutes of Animal Well, keeping the Disc is a whole different story. This is because a huge Ghost Dog enemy will spawn and relentlessly follow you around once you pick it up. If you’re having trouble with the Ghost Dog, read on.
Once you pick up the Disc, you’ll need to take it to another shrine before the Ghost Dog gets you. Again, this is easier said than done, as the room in question is quite a distance from where you find the Disc. Thankfully, the Ghost Dog won’t kill you outright, but it will drain your heart pretty quickly.
If you're looking to get the Disc early in the game, you'll likely need to get quite a bit further along and add some key movement items to your inventory, like the Bubble Wand and the Flute, before you can attempt this.
