You can find the Kuri Kuri egg in The Forgotten Kingdom from Remnant 2 in a nest in the Ancient Canopy (the first zone when you start the DLC).
To reach the nest, you’ll need to take the only path available when you first start the DLC. As you’re walking along the path, just before you climb the hill leading to Walt the Merchant, look to your right for a path leading back the way you came, only up. Go down this path, ignoring the steps leading to the secret entrance to the waterfall (in One Shot mode, this is the entrance to the area where you can get the Crystal Staff).
At the end of the path you climb up. There is a nest with the Kuri Kuri egg in it. I am sure the mother bird has something to say about it, but as they say, "You can't make an omelette without breaking a Kuri Kuri egg."
