External components are an important but often overlooked aspect of The First Descendant’s gameplay and endgame. Of the many that you can obtain and use, the Slayer set is one of the best, as it provides a variety of useful buffs to your Descendant.

The Slayer set is an Ultimate tier set that, like all external components in The First Descendant, consists of four parts: Memory, Processor, Assist Power, and Sensor. Each part of the Slayer set can be obtained and farmed the same way: by beating the Pyromaniac Intercept Battle on hard mode.

Getting two pieces of the set will grant you a stat increase, and getting the four-piece set will grant even greater stat buffs. Getting the two-piece set will increase your overall Rounds Capacity by 8 percent. On the other hand, getting all of the pieces of the set will grant your weapon a 9 percent increase in Rounds per Magazine, a 26.1 percent increase in Skill Power, and a 15 percent increase in Skill Cost. Additionally, getting all of the pieces of the set will grant you a 17 percent chance to regain MP and a 12 percent Specialized Resource when defeating Towed-equipped enemies.

The Slayer set is a great External Component set that can be used by any Descendant, but is especially effective for DPS Descendants with a lot of weapon experience, like Gley and Jayber.
