The Surfboard Skimmer is an evergreen way to get a Skimmer, Destiny 2’s newest vehicle class. Skimmers were released alongside the Guardian Games in March 2024. However, if you missed the event, you couldn’t get this new vehicle for free until Xur came to your rescue.

The Xurfboard Skimmer was a critically acclaimed addition to Destiny 2 for a lot of reasons, including that it looks awesome. The new vehicle class was exclusive to the All-Star Vector Skimmer, added in the 2024 Guardian Games. If you missed the event, the only way to get a hoverboard was to purchase it with Silver, the game’s premium currency. (We assume becoming a Cloud Strider and getting a cool, quicksilver-like hoverboard isn’t an option.)
However, with the release of the Xurfboard during Episode Revenant in October 2024, Bungie added a new way to obtain the new vehicle class, making it the first persistent, non-Silver skimmer in just over seven months. Here's how to unlock the Xurfboard Skimmer for all of your Guardians in Destiny 2.
The Xurfboard Skimmer is available from Xur, everyone's favorite intergalactic merchant. Xur sells it for 97 Strange Coins between Friday and Tuesday when it appears at the noodle shop in the Tower Bazaar.
