The Thalamus in Hades 2 is a type of Greenery that isn’t as easy to find as a Lotus or Moly. Instead, you’ll need to grow this plant in Crossroads using Origin Seeds. The Thalamus is an extremely elusive resource, which makes sense since it has limited use in the game. However, you’ll still need to find it as part of the main story. So for the sake of progression, here’s how to get Origin Seeds and eventually Thalamus.

Origin Seeds can only be found on the other side of the Chaos Gate, which is in the Chaos Realm. You gain access to the Chaos Gate as you complete the main storyline. Once you are in the Chaos Realm, talk to the Primordial Chaos and he will give you free Origin Seeds. You can also find the seeds while digging up the patches with your Silver Spade.
After you get the Origin Seed, you need to go to Crossroads and plant it in the soil. For those who don't know, you can get two planting spots by doing the Flourishing Soil Incantation. It only costs 1 Moly to make this Incantation, so you should get it easily. Anyway, after you plant the Origin Seed in Crossroads, wait 7 bells to get Thalamus in Hades 2.
Thalamus is needed to make an Incantation called "Unraveling of a Fateful Bond". This Incantation allows you to survive the Surface without losing any health. It should be noted that the Surface has a curse that drains your health when you walk around there. However, with the Incantation "Unraveling of a Fateful Bond" you become immune to this curse. In addition to 2 Thalamus, you will need 2 Lotus, 2 Moss, and 2 Nightshade to brew this Incantation with your Concoct.
