Microsoft is introducing a series of features, tweaks, and updates to Edge Chromium. One of them is the brand new Sleeping Tabs feature, which frees up some of the resources that inactive tabs take up to improve performance. Here's how to enable it.
First, open Microsoft Edge on your PC and go to edge://flags.
Look for 'Sleeping tabs' and make sure the Enable Sleeping Tabs feature is checked. If not, click the drop-down arrow and select Enabled.
When prompted, click Restart.
