Debilitation works similarly to negative status effects from JRPGs like sleep, silence, and poisoning in the Final Fantasy franchise. In this guide, I'll explain how to increase your resistance to debilitation in Dragon's Dogma 2.
Dragon's Dogma 2 Warfarer Guide and Beginner Build (and How to Unlock)
The easiest way to boost Debilitation Resistance in Dragon's Dogma 2 is to equip armor with a +x% under the Debilitation Resistance tab. Each icon represents a Debilitation (see the image above), and as far as we know, there is no limit on resistances.
Imagine this scenario: Debuff has an invisible bar that goes up to 100. Each enemy debuff ability fills that invisible bar by 10. If you have a 10% resistance to that debuff, then instead of getting +10 on your "Debuff Bar," you get +9 (making it 9/100). Once you reach the full limit, enemies will start applying their debuff to you.
Ideally, you want your character to be 100% resistant to debilitation so you never have to worry about status effects.
