Sometimes an app that wasn’t supposed to be in the App Store slips through the cracks and is available for a few hours or days before being removed. If you had one of those apps before it was removed from the store, you can still use it. In this guide, we’ll show you how to do that on any iOS device.

If you downloaded the app to your iOS device, you may still be able to install it. However, since the app has been removed from the store, you won’t be able to redownload it. If you delete the app, it’s gone for good unless you have a friend with it or you backed it up with an older version of iTunes.

If a friend or family member has the app on their computer, you may be able to get it from them. They will need to navigate to the folder where their apps are stored on their hard drive.

On a Mac, you'll find this folder under Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Mobile Applications.
