You can use VirtualBox to install a Linux-based operating system within Windows 10. While you can dual boot a Linux operating system alongside Windows, VirtualBox provides a much cleaner slate if you decide to switch away from the Linux operating system after a few days.

You can install any Linux operating system this way, but for this tutorial we'll use Ubuntu as it's the most popular.
