This article explains how to enable Client for Microsoft Networks (this option is typically enabled by default in Windows 10, 8, 7, and older).

Windows 10 users can enable Client for Microsoft Networks through the Settings window.

Press Win+I and then select Network & Internet.

Select Ethernet in the left column.
