For the casual worker, the Workspaces tool is perhaps the most useful PowerToys utility. It lets you open a bunch of apps at once in a pre-configured layout. There are a few different ways to create and launch workspaces, and to edit your workspaces. By default, however, all apps run with restricted permissions. If necessary, you'll need to specify which apps you want to run as an administrator from within the workspace editor. Here's how to do that.

Here's a visual guide for reference:
When an app is launched as admin, you will get the UAC dialog asking you to confirm. That is, if you haven’t disabled UAC already.
At the time of writing, there is an issue with workspaces where apps opened as an admin don’t reposition themselves according to the layout. So you’ll see apps with admin rights open separately from how you’ve configured them. Microsoft has also noted the issue on the feature’s learning page, saying, “The team is actively working on a fix for an upcoming release.”
