Sony’s announcement to link PSN ID to Steam for Helldivers 2 may not have gone down well with players, but unfortunately there is no option for them at the moment. If you’re having trouble linking your PlayStation Network to Steam, this guide has you covered. Many players will still need to create a PlayStation Network account in order to link it for Helldivers 2.

Previously, this was optional for PC players, but starting May 30th, it will be something mandatory that players can’t ignore. Thankfully, the whole process is pretty simple, and while it may sound annoying, it only involves a few steps.

First, players will need to create a PlayStation Network account if they don’t already have one. Follow this link and select Create an Account in Sony’s Account Manager. After that, you will need to follow the steps and you will be able to create the account for free. Now that you have an account, you can easily link your PSN ID to Steam for Helldivers 2.

To link PlayStation Network to Steam, load Helldivers 2 from Steam and the game should display a QR code that you can scan and a link to a PlayStation Network login page. Once you are taken to the login page, fill in the required information and link Helldivers 2 to your PlayStation Network account.
