It’s been a while since Apple brought Home screen customization to the iPhone. But with iOS 18, things are changing fast.

There are now several ways to personalize your home screen. Not only can you change the home screen layout and place your apps wherever you want – a first for iPhones – but you can also change the color and tint of your app icons for a better aesthetic.

One such customization feature is the ability to make app icons bigger, which users have been asking for for a while now. Increasing the size of the icons also hides their labels. So if you don’t want to see the names of apps on your home screen, the same setting will do the trick. If you’re running iOS 18, here’s how to achieve it.

The difference isn’t all that big and we hope Apple makes further adjustments soon, maybe even the ability to make individual icons big or small, something similar to what Nothing already does. It would be interesting to separate app size and app label settings. But we’re just getting greedy now.
