How can I check my home network usage?
Everyone has a router, and you can access it from almost any device on your network. All of your traffic is already flowing through the router, so it’s the most direct source of information about what’s happening on the network.
You need to find out the IP address of your router. For most routers, this is 192.168. 1.1, unless someone changed it. If you’re not sure, open a command prompt and run ipconfig . On Mac and Linux, run ip r . On Windows, your router’s IP address is listed as Gateway . On Linux, it’s next to default via .
Open your web browser and enter the router's IP address into the address bar. This is exactly the same as browsing to a website, so press Enter after typing in the IP address.
