If you have used Windows 10 in the past, then you are probably familiar with the range of options that were available in Windows 10 to customize the taskbar. One of those options offered the ability to freely move the taskbar from the bottom of the screen to the sides and top of the screen.
Windows 11 – Move Taskbar to Top, Left, and Right of Screen
But things have changed in Windows 11 and some users may be shocked to learn that they can no longer move the taskbar in Windows 11 at all.
Unlike Windows 10, where you could simply unlock the taskbar and drag it to any side of the screen, this option is not available anywhere in the Settings app in Windows 11.
Luckily, a Redditor found a way to move the taskbar to the top, a few days after the first preview builds of Windows 11 were released. Like many other so-called “fixes” for Windows 11’s cosmetic changes, this one also relies on the Registry Editor.
