Apple lets you do this through the Messages app and the Wallet app. When you use the Wallet app, the iMessage conversation will still open in the Wallet app itself, so we're going to talk about the most convenient way to do this, which is through the Messages app.
The easiest way to send and receive money is through the Messages app. You can do it in the same iMessage thread, keep track of transactions, and get updates when you receive a payment.
Open the Messages app on your iPhone and go to the conversation with the person you want to send money to. Tap the Plus button and choose Apple Cash from the menu.
