Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is the fifth major expansion in the JRPG’s illustrious 11-year history, and thanks to early access, you won’t have to wait until the official launch to play.

Final Fantasy XIV first launched in 2013 and has enjoyed a long lifespan, with many players continuing to enjoy the MMORPG each month. Even in a world of free-to-play RPGs, the subscription-based nature of FFXIV continues to outshine most. The FFXIV Dawntrail release builds on 2021’s Endwalker, adding a new story, jobs, and more. You can try it out for yourself in early access.

You can play the early access version of Final Fantasy XIV by pre-ordering an edition of FFXIV Dawntrail before its official launch on Tuesday, July 2.

This includes the Standard Edition, so you don’t have to splash out on the Digital Deluxe upgrade or Collector’s Edition to get in early. Once the pre-order is registered to your FFXIV account, you’re all set to jump into Early Access. You’ll also get the Wind-up Zidane Minion and Azeyma’s Earring, which grants a 30 percent EXP buff to any combat job at level 90 and below; delivered instantly to all of your characters.
