In Black Myth Wukong, you can customize your character by discovering and equipping new equipment, such as masks, clothes, wristbands, and staffs. If you have purchased the deluxe edition of the game, the monkey will already be equipped with the Folk Opera Mask headgear. Here's how to take it off.
How to Remove a Mask and Headgear in Black Myth Wukong
To put on and take off masks and headgear in Black Myth Wukong, you'll need to go into the Settings menu. Navigate to the Gameplay tab by clicking on the gear icon (the third option in the left column). Set the Show Headgear setting to Off (see image above) to hide the headgear your character is wearing during gameplay.
Within the Equipment menu, where all of your customizable wearables and items are listed, you’ll also find the Headgear section. This section shows you every mask you currently have equipped on your character, and allows you to change it. If you only have one piece of headgear in your inventory, it will be automatically equipped and you won’t be able to take it off here.
The only thing you can do in the Equipment menu is switch between different available masks if you have multiple ones. Therefore, the only way to disable the mask in Black Myth Wukong (for now) is to turn off the visibility of the main gear in the settings, as I explained earlier.
