This article explains how to reply to an Instagram post with a GIF. You can use this feature in the Instagram mobile app on Android and iPhone, but not if you use Instagram on the web. At the time of writing, you cannot reply to a comment with a GIF; the feature only applies to new comments.

What says "Congratulations," "Good Job," or "Well Done" better than a moving photo. Whether it's cute, funny, or sentimental, you can react to an Instagram post with a GIF in just a few taps.

Select the post you want to comment on and tap the Comment icon.

Select the GIF icon to the right of the Comment field.
