When the cold sets in and resources run out, people in Frostpunk 2 become tense, and if you don’t do anything about it, you’ll lose your position as the city’s Steward. To prevent this, here’s how to reduce tension in Frostpunk 2.

In Frostpunk 2, meters at the top of the screen display all of the problems: Cold, Hunger, Misery, Disease, and Crime. A high level of any of these problems increases the tension tremendously, so your first goal should be to lower them as much as possible.
Hovering over a problem will show you what’s wrong with the city. You can use that information to decide what to do next. My biggest problem was the extreme cold caused by a lack of heat. That meant I had to get more coal by sending Frostland Teams to discover Outposts or build more Extraction Districts.
