How to Safely Remove USB from Chromebook
Properly removing a USB device from a Chromebook may save you from having to recover data if your flash drive becomes corrupted.
To view USB devices connected to a Chromebook, select the Launcher icon at the bottom left of your screen, then select the Files icon to open the File Explorer app.
In the left navigation menu you should see the device (such as "SD card"). If you select the device you will see all the content of this device.
