How to Remove Headers and Footers in Google Docs
Google Docs automatically removes header text with a single command in the web app. However, when you use a mobile app and want to remove a header, you must delete the text.
Select the header you want to remove. Then select the Options drop-down arrow and choose Remove Header. You can also go to Format > Headers & Footers > Remove Header.
If the document has a header on the first page or even and odd headers, each of these headers must be removed separately.
