Geotagging is a potential privacy and security risk. To protect your personal information, you should prevent iPhone photos from storing location data on new photos you take. Removing geotagging information from new photos will not remove it from older photos you've taken with your phone. You'll need an app to do that.

To ensure that no geotag information is recorded when you take photos in the future:

From the iPhone home screen, select Settings.

Go to Privacy > Location Services.
