This article explains how to remove hiberfil.sys and disable hibernation in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP.
If you really don't need the Hibernate option, you can remove it by entering a command in the Command Prompt. This command requires you to open the Command Prompt as an administrator, also known as an elevated Command Prompt. The method you use depends on which version of Windows you are using.
Enter command. You will see Command Prompt as the primary result.
Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. (Or select Run as administrator in the right pane.)
