This article explains how to change or remove your best friends on Snapchat. When you send snaps back and forth with friends on Snapchat, you may notice that emojis appear next to their names after some time of interaction. These are considered your best friends.

Snapchat does not currently offer users the option to remove contacts from their Best Friends list. If you want them to disappear from your Best Friends list, one method is to lower your interaction level with them. You can also choose to keep your interaction level the same as your current Best Friends, but increase your interaction level with other people you want to take their place.

If you stop sending and receiving snaps to someone currently on this list, or if you start interacting with others more than them, your current best friends will be gone within a day (and possibly replaced).

Another way to remove someone from your best friends list is to block them on Snapchat and then unblock them. This will reset the score that determined they were a best friend.
