In an effort to push its MSN-powered widgets to Windows users, Microsoft has put widgets in a place where you can’t miss them: the lock screen. Luckily, there’s a way to easily disable them. Here’s how to disable lock screen widgets on Windows 11.
Lock screen widgets are enabled by default, so they appear automatically whenever Windows updates.
In the lock screen status setting, these are misleadingly placed under the 'Weather & more' banner. In addition to the weather widget, the 'more' section contains sports, traffic and market info widgets.
