This article explains how to report spam to Yahoo Mail so that the company can adjust its filters to catch that specific type of spam in the future. These instructions apply to the web versions of Yahoo Mail and the Yahoo Mail mobile app for Android and iOS.

Yahoo Mail has spam filters, so most unwanted messages are automatically placed in the spam folder. However, spam sometimes makes its way into your inbox. To alert Yahoo Mail that unwanted email has passed the spam filter:

Select the checkbox next to the messages in your inbox that you want to report as spam.

Select Spam from the toolbar above your inbox to move the message to your Spam folder.
