An inbox can quickly get out of hand when it’s flooded with spam emails. Instead of deleting the spam that lands in your Gmail inbox, you can report it so you see less spam in the future. Here’s how.
How to Report Gmail Spam
Here's how to report an email as spam right in your browser and improve Gmail's spam filter specifically for you in the future:
Check the box next to the messages in Gmail by selecting the empty box to the left of the email. You may be able to identify spam without opening the email. You can also open the email.
In the menu above your inbox, look for the icon that looks like an exclamation point (!) in a stop sign. Select it to mark the message as spam. You can also select ! (Shift+1) if you have Gmail keyboard shortcuts enabled.
