The Google Home doesn’t have a dedicated factory reset button. Instead, it uses the microphone mute button on the back of the device for this purpose. Just like with the Home Mini, press and hold the button for 12-15 seconds. You’ll hear the Assistant confirm that the device is being reset; you can then release the button.
You can usually reset the device and return it to the way it was out of the box by pressing and holding the Factory Data Reset (FDR) button. A Factory Data Reset erases all data stored on the device, including settings and personal information.
