How to Reset Safari on Mac/iPhone to Default Settings [New]
The first step in resetting Safari is to delete your browsing history. When you clear your browsing history, Safari removes data like recent searches, the list of frequently visited sites, web page icons, the history of web pages you've visited, and more.
From the Safari menu bar, select Safari > Clear History
Select All History from the drop-down menu.
