This article explains how to reset your Snapchat password via email or text message. Instructions apply to the app and not the web version.

Open the Snapchat app on your device, select LOG IN, and enter your Snapchat username or email address in the first field.

Select Forgot your password? under the username and password. You must enter your username or email address in the first field. Otherwise, Snapchat will not be able to associate the Forgot your password request with your account.

Snapchat lets you reset your password over the phone (via an automated text message or phone call) or via email.
