How to Run Old Software on Windows 10 Using Compatibility Mode
If the troubleshooter didn't help and you know which version of Windows the program previously worked on, you can manually change Windows 10's compatibility mode settings:
Right-click (or hold down) the program icon and select Properties from the drop-down menu.
Select the Compatibility tab. Under Compatibility Mode, check the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for and select the appropriate version of Windows from the drop-down list.
