How to Save a List of Running Processes to a Text File in Windows Using cmd
Sometimes it seems like there are so many processes running on your computer that you can't tell which ones are okay and which ones are suspicious or malicious.
A good first step is to generate a list of active processes to a text file, so that you can analyze which processes are active. Usually people use Task Manager to view all processes, but it does not let you print the list of processes.
Fortunately, saving a list of running processes to a text file in Windows is very easy. You can save both the process ID (PID) and how much memory each process is using.
