Google was one of the first companies to embrace dark mode on its apps and services, and now it’s rolling out dark mode to Google Search, but exclusively on desktop. While the feature is still in testing, many users have been able to enable it when using Google Search in any web browser on their computer.
With dark mode enabled, the main Google Search screen takes on a dark gray background, and this extends to the search results pages when you search for something there. Other elements such as page text are displayed in white, while icons and links have a slightly blurred effect when dark mode is applied.
If you are trying to figure out how to schedule dark mode for Google Search on your desktop, then the following post should help you out.
Dark Mode on Google Search is still in testing and it may take a while before the feature is available for your account. If you’re lucky, the feature should appear as a notification in Google search results. You can enable it by clicking the “Enable” button in that notification and Google will now switch the search page to a dark gray theme.
