Up until Windows 10, users could modify the registry key 'ShowSecondsInSystemClock' in the Registry Editor to display seconds. This forced Windows Explorer to update the taskbar and display seconds in the system tray clock. However, starting with Windows 11, Explorer started skipping this key everywhere in the registry.
